GECC 3130 Exploration and Discovery: Journey to the Middle East: Exploring the Past and the Present of Dubai (2024/25, Term 2)

 

Dubai, the economic and financial hub of the Middle East, is renowned worldwide for its luxurious splendor and innovative avant-garde. While Dubai appears to develop rapidly, it also has deep historical and cultural heritage. This study trip will lead participants to explore the various facets of Dubai and its surrounding areas, experiencing the charm of the Middle East.

Eligibility

  • In the 2nd year of attendance or above (for students with a normative study period of 3 years or more)
  • No constraints on study year (for students with a normative study period of 2 years, applicable to those admitted in 2023/24 and before)

 

Application Method

Each applicant shall provide a letter of interest explaining the reasons and expectations of joining the Programme in the online application, on which selection will be based.

Tentative Fee and Deposit

  • HKD$8,000, including airfare, accommodation, meals (partial), visits and local transportation.
  • Deposit of HKD$3,000 is refundable upon completion of programme.
  • In case of withdrawal from the programme, the fee and deposit made will be forfeited.

  • Payment deadline for 2nd round result: 2024.11.13 (Wed)

The General Education Office of the College will handle the course registration for selected students who have completed the payment.
