The population structure in Taitung is predominantly composed of elderly individuals, which is why our main focus is on serving the local elderly community. Throughout the process, we have come to understand that what they need most is companionship. Therefore, we hold onto the spirit of "listening and taking action" in our services, embodying two main themes: "Elderly Care" and "Cultural Exchange". We strive to bring warmth to the local elderly population, seizing opportunities to interact with the elderly. Simultaneously, we listen to the voices of the elderly and various stakeholders, reflect on and analyze the phenomenon of population aging in the area, and provide recommendations. We also create video clips to raise public awareness of this issue.

Group: 瑞士糖｜Service Location: Yongan, Ruiyuan

The theme of our service is Art. Through 15 days of service learning in the Yong'an and Dianguang communities in Taitung, we discovered that these two communities are facing certain challenges, such as a lack of manpower and resources. At the same time, we also recognized that both communities have significant artistic and cultural elements, such as the tea culture in Yong'an and the Amis culture in Dianguang. Therefore, we aim to explore the feasibility and effectiveness of revitalizing the communities through art by implementing various artistic practices.

Through immersing ourselves in the daily life of the Ruìyuán and Yong'an communities for two weeks, we observed and gained an understanding of the local daily life, level of development, and traditional culture. We visited elementary schools, interacted with students and residents, and provided support for various activities and services organized by the local community. Furthermore, we designed STEM classes in the tutoring school and set up booths at the 2626 market for community development.
