Religion Exploration and Service Trip to Cambodia (GECC3230 Service-Learning Programme Linked)

 

Religion Exploration and Service Trip to Cambodia will be held from June 16 to 25, 2025 (10 days). Participants will work in a group with 4 students to provide services to one of the following recipient groups: (1) the orphans; (2) HIV-infected children; (3) waste pickers community; (4) students in rural areas. Excursions to the Crime Museum, Killing Field and interactions with local churches and will be provided to participants to learn about the social and religious background of the people to be served.

 

Fee of the trip after subsidized is HK$4000 for each participant, covering room and board, local transportation, insurance, but excluding flight ticket which can be reimbursed 1/2 of the airfare (maximum HK$ 1800). For enquiries, please contact Mr. Walter Lam (3943 4301 / walterlam@cuhk.edu.hk)

 

Participants must enroll GECC3230 Service-Learning Programme by joining this religion exploration and service trip, and fulfill the requirements of the courses including pre-service workshops, service, and post-service activities.

 

Eligibility (In 2025/26):

  •  In 2nd year of attendance or above (Students with normative study period of 3 years or more)
  • No constraints on study year (for students with a normative study period of 2 years, applicable to those admitted in 2023/24 and before)
