Objectives

• To cultivate a sense of community service in Chung Chi students;
• To provide students with opportunities to get in touch with different segments of society, broadening their horizons, and strengthening their critical thinking on social issues; and
• To provide students with opportunities to further develop personal growth and enhance social skills through reflective journals, evaluation meetings, and discussions in seminars.

Eligibility

Students in 2025/26:

• In 2nd year of attendance or above (Students with normative study period of 3 years or more)
• No constraints on study year (for students with a normative study period of 2 years, applicable to those admitted in 2023/24 and before)

Themes of Service-Learning

• Know about the community work and the network of social enterprise in Taitung;
• Preserve the traditional culture and address the community needs through social innovation; and
• Promote sustainable development of the local industry with local innovative elements.

Schedule

Fee and Deposit

HKD$5,600 (excluding flight ticket) | Deposit of HKD$3,000 is refundable upon completion of programme; in case of withdrawal from the programme, the deposit will not be refunded. Participants can be reimbursed 50% of the airfare (maximum HK$ 1500).
