Cultural Exploration of Xi'an & Hong Kong

 

Are you ready to embark on a captivating journey exploring the rich history and cultural fusion of Xi’an and Hong Kong? Chung Chi College (CUHK), Guohao College ( Tongji University, Shanghai), and Qian Xuesen College (Xi’an Jiaotong University )  are collaborating for the first time to -organize a 12-day study tour in Xi’an and Hong Kong.

 

Theme: Journey Across Time and Cultural Integration

Join us for an immersive program featuring thematic lectures, engaging field trips, and exciting visits to historical sites. Interact with a diverse group of peers and gain insights into the dynamic evolution of these vibrant cities.

 

Date:

Xi’an Segment: July 16 (Wed) - July 21 (Mon) 2025 (6 days)

Hong Kong Segment: July 23 (Wed) – Jul 28 (Mon) 2025 (6 days)

 

Quota:

16 students from Chung Chi College (interview is required)

16 students from Tongji University, Shanghai

16 students from Xi’an Jiaotong University

 

Language:

Putonghua, Cantonese

 

Program highlight:

Chung Chi College students visit Xi’an Jiaotong University and host the return visit of the university's students to Hong Kong.

Xi’an field trips: Terracotta Army, Xi'an Stele Forest Museum, Xi'an City Wall.

Hong Kong field trips: Hong Kong Heritage Museum, Guided tours of Heritage of Mei Ho House & Hong Kong Cemetery, the HKMA Information Centre, Tai Kwun, & M+ Museum West Kowloon.

Eligible students can enroll in the College upper-year General Education course GECC3130 “Exploration and Discovery” (E&D, 3 credits).

In 2025/26:

◼      In 2nd year of attendance or above (for students with a normative study period of 3 years or more)

◼      No constraints on study year (for students with a normative study period of 2 years, applicable to those admitted in 2023/24 and before)

 

Fee & Deposit (after EYE Award subsidy):

HKD$4,000 (including accommodation, partial meals, field trips, local transportation excluding flight tickets)

A deposit of HKD$ 1000 is refundable upon completion of the programme; in case of withdrawal from the programme, the fee and deposit made will be forfeited. Participants can be reimbursed 50% of the airfare (maximum HK$1,500) with a valid receipt and boarding pass
