Exploring the Mysterious Ancient City: History and Art Culture Tour in Gansu and Dunhuang

 

Chung Chi College will join hands with Ling College of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen) to organize a history and art culture tour in Gansu and Dunhuang for all Chung Chi undergraduate students, introducing everyone to the long and rich history of Gansu and Dunhuang, and leading everyone to appreciate the beauty of grotto art, the magnificent wonders of the desert, and the unique charm of the city.

 

Activity Details

  • Visit the Mogao Caves and learn about the Dunhuang Murals and Buddhist culture
  • Visit the Zhangye National Geopark and see the colorful rock formations
  • Communicate with local artists and learn about traditional craftsmanship
  • Understand the history and culture of Dunhuang through diversified classes, and movies and stage performances

 

Date: 1 to 7 June, 2025 (7 days)

Language: Fluent in Chinese and Mandarin

Quota: 12

Target Audience: All Chung Chi undergraduate students

✨Completion of the tour can be treated as fulfilling the requirements for the Chung Chi General Education Upper-year Course GECC3130 Exploration & Discovery (3 credits)

 

Fees and Deposits  (after EYE Award subsidy)

  • HK$5,100 (tentative), including accommodation, meals (partial), sightseeing tours, and local transportation, excluding air tickets. Participants can receive a subsidy of half of the ticket price (with a maximum limit of HK$1,700) with a valid receipt and boarding pass.
  • An additional deposit of HK$1,500 is required, which will be fully refunded upon completion of the tour.
  • If you leave the tour midway, the fees and deposits paid will not be refunded.
