Exploring Sustainability and Cultural Diversity in Singapore

 

Singapore, one of the World’s Greenest Cities, is striving to become a renowned “city in nature” by making fifty years of greening efforts. Without any advantages in terms of natural resources and territory, how can Singapore achieve this transformation? Through a series of city visits, master classes and cultural exchanges, we will bring you to:

 

  • Explore the stunning green architecture and urban planning
  • Visit Gardens by the Bay and Pinnacle@Duxton to experience the charm of an urban oasis
  • Engage with local students from the Nanyang Technological University to gain insights from their perspective
  • Walk into Little India, Kampong Gelam & Chinatown to discover Singapore’s diversity and inclusivity

 

  • Dates: 9th  June to 14th June, 2025 (Tentative)
  • Language: Cantonese & English 
  • Quota:  28
  • Target Students:  All Chung Chi students

*Eligible students can enroll to the College upper-year General Education course GECC3130  “Exploration and Discovery” E&D (3 credits)

In 2025/26:

  1. In 2nd year of attendance or above (for students with a normative study period of 3 years or more)
  2. No constraints on study year (for students with a normative study period of 2 years, applicable to those admitted in 2023/24 and before)

 

Fee and Deposit (after subsidized by EYE Award):

  • HKD$5,400 (tentative), for accommodation, meals (partial), visit and local transportation, flight ticket is not included. Participants can be reimbursed 50% of the airfare with valid receipt and boarding pass (maximum $1,500).
  • Deposit of HKD$1,500 is refundable upon completion of programme.

*In case of withdrawal from the programme, the fee and deposit made will be forfeited.
