Idea Beyond Boundaries

The College sees the meaning of dreams, the value of creativity, and the importance of taking actions. We have therefore established the “Dreaming through CC Scheme”, “S. H. Sung Creativity Award” and “Seeds of Good Deeds Project Award” to encourage CC-ers to realize your dream, fulfill your ambition and think outside the box.

 

 

Dreaming Through CC Scheme 

The Scheme offers an opportunity for you to realize your dreams. Awardees of the scheme will be granted financial subsidies (max. HK$30,000) and also guidance and support from the College to make their dreams come true.

 

Some of the “dream comes true” cases:

 

  • “Wai Sing 天水.圍唱” – a community filming and screening project
  • Photo exhibition
  • Producing and screening of Cantonese Opera documentary
  • Busking in Europe

S. H. Sung Creativity Award

The Award aims at promoting creativity and encouraging students to produce innovative plans on promoting human well-being or improving campus environment. Feasibility of the ideas is considered, yet it is not a must that the project can be realized immediately. Awarded projects in previous years include:

 

  • “Pure Zone 崇漂” – Redevelopment of campus leisure area into an outdoor theater and BookCrossing zone
  • “Sportit” – the idea of sports buddy matching App
  • “Green Brick” – a design to improve campus sustainability
  • Shuttle Bus Counting People System – a proposal to shorten the time for boarding and alighting the school bus

“Seeds of Good Deeds” Project Award

The scheme awards CC-er who completed a project with a topic which is meaningful to the society and related to Hong Kong and demonstrating creativity. Awarded projects in previous years include:

 

  • “WeCareBill”: Project to empower patients to plan & budget cancer treatments based on past patients’ experience and pharmacists’ knowledge 
  • “EC Food”: Platform to match elderly who need home-style food with households
  • Project to raise society’s awareness of the homelessness
  • “Learning, Contribution and Inheritance”: extra-curricular learning program for children and teenagers from low-income families
