GECC3130 Exploration and Discovery: Death and Dying Perspectives on Life Education

 

This course helps students understand various kinds of customs, rituals, advance care planning, funeral and burial culture in Hong Kong. It facilitates students to examine life and death from diverse perspectives, build up a comprehensive life value and reflect upon the meaning of life.

 

Eligibility

Students in 2024/25

l In 3rd year of attendance or above (students with normative study period of 4 years or above)

l In 2nd year of attendance or above (students with normative study period of 3 years)

l No constraints to study year (students with normative study period of 2 years)

Application Method

Each applicant shall provide a letter of interest explaining the reasons and expectations of joining the course in the online application, on which selection will be based.

Fee and Deposit

Ÿ Each participant shall pay a programme fee of HK$200 for taking part in the study trip, inclusive of field visits and transportation on certain dates.

Ÿ A deposit of HK$500 is also required. It is refundable upon satisfactory completion of the study trip.

Ÿ In an event of withdrawal, the fee and deposit made will all be forfeited.
