2. "Seeds of Good Deeds" Project Award 


 

The "Seeds of Good Deeds" Project Award encourages Chung Chi students to demonstrate responsible citizenship through creative projects that address meaningful social issues related to Hong Kong. Any completed project that reflects these values is eligible for consideration.

 

  • Applicant
    • Individual projects: The applicant must be a Chung Chi student.
    • Group projects:
      • The project leader and at least half of the applicants must be Chung Chi students.
      • Other members of the group should be CUHK undergraduates.
      • A combination of students from various departments is encouraged.

 

  • Topic
    • Any current issue related to Hong Kong may serve as the project's focus.
    • The award aims to recognize Chung Chi students who demonstrate a strong commitment to social engagement and the practical application of their values, particularly those who can amplify their ideas and inspire broad, positive impact.
    • Any completed projects that creatively explore socially meaningful topics related to Hong Kong are eligible for this award.

4. Mr. & Mrs. Eddy Chan Overseas Entrepreneur Award 


The Mr. & Mrs. Eddy Chan Overseas Entrepreneur Award 2025/26 is now open for applications. Established in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Eddy Chan through the generous donation of their daughter, Ms. Carol Chan, a College BBA alumna, this scholarship supports a Chung Chi College student who aspires to pursue entrepreneurship after graduation.

 

Award:   Mr. & Mrs. Eddy Chan Overseas Entrepreneur Award 2025/2026

Award Amount (HK$) / Award Quota: 

 $10,000 / 1

Target recipient and requirement:
  1. Be a Chung Chi undergraduate student from any discipline.
  2. Aspire to become an entrepreneur after graduation.
  3. Have great contributions to society and college / university extra curricular activities.
  4. Be undertaking or planning to undertake an overseas internship or study abroad programme. Preference will be given to those with financial need.

5. TERMS AMENDMENT NOTICE FOR

COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS, AWARDS, PRIZES, AND FINANCIAL AID


Date: 5 June 2025

 

In accordance with the resolution passed by the Finance Committee of the Chung Chi College Board of Trustees, please be informed of the following amendments to the current Terms of Reference for College Scholarships, Awards, Prizes, and Financial Aid. These changes are made to ensure the sustainability of our financial support programs considering current economic conditions: 

 

Key Amendments

  1. Effective from the academic year 2024/2025, the College will no longer guarantee returns or cover any shortfalls for the funds.  
  2. In the event that the interest generated by the funds is insufficient to sustain the award amount, the principal will also be used to finance the award until the fund is exhausted.

 

Effective Date

These amendments will take effect on 30 August 2025.

Correspondence outlining these amendments and the revised Terms of Reference for College Scholarships, Awards, Prizes, and Financial Aid were sent to the donors and donor representatives in May 2025.
