Chung Chi College does not aim to promote Western civilization as such, but to assist in the establishment of something better than the civilizations of either East or West, a world civilization, to which Greece and Rome and Palestine shall furnish their quotas and to which the great civilizations of the East, of China and of India, shall also contribute. Out of this should come something new, something hitherto unknown.
