The Chinese University of Hong Kong, like other universities worldwide, implements its primary educational and research initiatives across disciplines through faculties and departments. Having said that, it distinguishes itself from many other universities by upholding a notable college tradition. The colleges have the mission of addressing students’ various needs in campus and community life, including extracurricular activities. Each college offers general education courses and non-formal educational activities, thereby promoting a more diverse and enriching educational experience. This approach to education fosters a livelier and more meaningful learning environment. Hence, university education involves a collaboration among the colleges, departments, and faculties, which is well grounded and worthwhile.
