Introduction

To promote electricity and water saving practices among hostel residents, and enhance students’ awareness of conserving natural resources, the College Environment and Sustainable Development Committee is organizing the “Electricity and Water Saving Championship for Hostels” in this academic year.

 

Competition Period 

15 September 2025 to 28 February 2026

 

Details

  • Each student hostel is automatically enrolled as a participating unit.
  • The Competition consists of two categories:“Electricity Saving Champion”and“Water Saving Champion”.
  • The three hostels with the highest percentage reduction in electricity usage compared to the same period last year will be the Champion, Runner-Up and Third Place of the“Electricity Saving Champion”category.
  • The three hostels with the highest percentage reduction in water usage compared to the same period last year will be the Champion, Runner Up and Third Place of the“Water Saving Champion”category.
  • The competition results are tentatively scheduled to be announced during the Assembly of Environment Protection Week in March 2026.
