Chung Chi Updates / Activities

The Chaplain’s Office of Chung Chi College continues to offer exquisite music in Midday Oasis as we transition into the final two weeks of this semester. On April 7, Li Na# (Principal, Second Violins, Macao Orchestra) & Sandra Poon (Piano. Young Steinway Artist) will perform Schumann’s Violin Sonata No. 1 in A Major, Op. 105, as well as Brahms’ Hungarian Dance No. 1 in G Major, WoO 1. On April 14, a choir ensemble composed of nearly 40 undergraduate students from The Department of Music will present choral works in Cantonese composed by both faculty member & student of the department. The performance will feature Professor Chan Kai-young's Choral Suite: ‘From the Chrysalis’ & ‘In a Word’, which are both inspired by the 20 years of engagement in prison ministry of renowned pianist Nancy Loo. Also featured in the program is three finely crafted choral works composed by Harold Chan (Music/ 2): ‘Hiccup’, ‘A Nameless Cloud’ & ‘Snowman’. We look forward to seeing you in Midday Oasis concerts, 1:30pm on Mondays @Chung Chi College Chapel, The Chinese University of Hong Kong!

#With kind permission of the Macao Orchestra
