South Africa & Kenya Cultural Exploration Learning Tour

South Africa is the only country in the world with three capitals. It is one of the most developed countries in Africa and is also one of the most racially and culturally diverse countries, known as the "Rainbow Nation." However, during the decades of apartheid policies, the country experienced several racial migrations in history. Are you familiar with apartheid policies? Do you know why and how these policies overturned in the 1990s? Moreover, how do these policies continue to influence society and culture in South Africa today?

Kenya, once a British colony located in East Africa, is renowned as one of the premier wildlife viewing destinations in Africa. Since the introduction of a polygamous marriage bill in 2014, Kenya has become one of the few countries in the world to formally recognize polygamous marriage. However, in this male-dominated society, women often face significant challenges, including domestic violence, sexual violence, and coercion to undergo female genital mutilation. Compared to many other countries, Kenya still lags behind in aspects such as education, gender equality, and living standards.
