Subsidy Scheme for Language Study Abroad in Summer 2024

The College Language Enhancement Task Group encourages students to seize the valuable opportunity of studying abroad in the summer. During the programme, you can engage with students from around the world, broaden your cultural perspectives, and improve your proficiency in various languages such as English, French, German, Korean, Japanese and other foreign languages. Students who are interested should visit the universities' websites to explore their programs and apply directly.  

Examples of summer language courses are listed below:

- University of Victoria
- University of Waterloo
- University of Calgary
- University of Heidelberg
- University of Freiburg
- Ewha University

- Lyon Catholic University

- University of Navarra

- Pompeu Fabra University

College Subsidy

Many overseas universities are now offering summer language courses, including renowned institutions like the University of Victoria and the University of Waterloo in Canada which has seen many Chung Chi students participate in the past.  Students who are interested should visit the universities' websites to explore their programs and apply directly.  The College subsidies for overseas language studies is now available for application.

The subsidy amount can be up to HK$25,000 or 70% of the tuition fees, whichever the lower.  The College reserves the right to make the final decision regarding the award amount.
