Chung Chi Updates / Announcements

Dear Members of Class Society 2025,

Chung Chi College has invited students to suggest names for Class Society 2025, and we are now conducting the Naming Survey. The options and relevant meanings are as follows:

  • (zaak6)

“澤” signifies the convergence of water, symbolizing unity and cooperation. In nature, the gathering of water represents the collective efforts and mutual support of Chung Chi people. Additionally, “澤” implies prosperity and abundance. For the graduating class, the future is brimming with endless possibilities. Just as water flowing into a swamp can give rise to new life and opportunities, so too can the future of Chung Chi graduates. “澤” not only embodies the shared experiences of Chung Chi people on campus but also symbolizes their future growth, unity, and hope. We wish the Chung Chi community boundless opportunities and a wonderful life ahead.

  • (nim6)

“念” signifies speaking to one’s own heart, with its original meaning being “thought from the heart” . As Chung Chi graduates embark on a new journey, it is hoped they will hold onto their beliefs, listen to their inner voices, and face future challenges calmly. By remaining determined and committed, Chung Chi graduates can strive for their goals and dreams, bringing about positive social change. “念”  also carries the meaning of remembrance, with the wish that these years of campus life will become precious and cherished memories for Chung Chi graduates.

  • (ming4)

“明” means light in Chinese. Fellow graduates faced many difficulties in their entry year, as if living in the mist. On one hand, a beam of light would guide our way. On the other hand, we hope to become a warm fire for others. Light may dim and exhaust, but by staying together, it will grow stronger.
