FC Lo Greater Bay Area Study Tour

The Study Tour was co-organized by Chung Chi College, Muse College of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen), and Choi Kai Yau College of the University of Macau. Participants learned more about the economic and social development of the Greater Bay Area through various activities.

Shum Kai Wah Mainland Exchange Programme: Cultural Exploration and Workplace Experience in Shanghai

The Programme was jointly organized by Chung Chi College Mentor Programme Committee and CUHK Alumni Association in Shanghai. Chung Chi students got exposed to the local economy and development as well as a historical and cultural overview of Shanghai.

The Philippines Community Service-Learning Programme

Chung Chi students participated in service activities in different community groups in Dumaguete and learned about the local history, culture, economy, education and environment conservation through various activities.

Music and History Exploration in Wuhan and Yichang

Through site visits and in-depth exchanges with local students on Music Education, Chung Chi students gained a deeper understanding of the unique history of Hubei and be filled with the artistic atmosphere.

Local Service-Learning Programmes

In this summer, the College General Education Office organized several groups of local service-learning programmes. Ethnic minorities are one of the service targets.

 

6/1-6/12

“Hygge” Journey of Happiness: Denmark Summer Exchange

Through site visits, experiential learning activities and exchanges with the locals, 16 participants experienced the unique life philosophy Hygge and explored different ways to happiness.

 

6/3-6/15

Hong Kong Heritage Conservation Policy

 

This study trip was organized by the College General Education Office. Through lectures and visits to historical buildings, students gained a deeper knowledge of the local monuments and intangible cultural heritage.

 

6/3-7/26

Religion and Service Summer Internship

The 8-week Religion and Service Summer Internship was held by the Chaplain’s office. Participants learned to serve the local underprivileged with the supervision of Hong Kong Church Network for the Poor.

Taitung Community Service-Learning Programme

During the Programme, students participated in local village service, ecological trail maintenance and renovation, and community market operation to contribute to sustainable rural development.

 

6/18-6/24

The Religious Exploration and Service Trip to Cambodia

16 students in this trip provided service to children and the poor in Phnom Penh and Kampong Chhnang. Meanwhile, they also participated in a Sunday service of a local church.

Garden City Kaleidoscope: Exploring Sustainability and Cultural Diversity in Singapore

Participants not only had the opportunity to exchange with teachers and students from Nanyang Technological University, but also visited the local sustainable architecture and inclusive community space. What a fruitful journey in summer!

Death and Dying: Perspectives on Life Education

This Study trip was organized by the College General Education Office. Students learned various kinds of customs, rituals, advance care planning.

South America Tour: Exploring Food Crisis and Poverty Issues in Brazil

This programme is organized by the Uni-Y (CCC CUHK). 17 Chung Chi students gained a deep understanding of poverty and inequality issues through various activities.

A Tale of Two Cities: Talent Plus between Shanghai & Hong Kong

The Programme was co-organized by Chung Chi College and Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. 28 students participated in activities to understand the social, economic, and cultural development of Shanghai and Hong Kong.
