Chung Chi College held the groundbreaking ceremony for the Block E Redevelopment Project (Project E) on 22 August 2023, marking the commencement of the construction and a new milestone for the College’s campus development. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2026 to bring students and teachers modernised twin buildings with the accommodation for students and staff, an activity centre for alumni, and a digital culture and art creativity centre, to enhance their learning experience and stimulate idea exchanges and innovations.
Officiating at the ceremony, Professor Rocky S. Tuan, CUHK Vice-Chancellor and President, said that in addition to the diversified facilities, the superior location of the buildings is convenient for teachers, students, and alumni to travel between the campus and urban districts. In line with the University’s plan to construct the “Innovation and Sustainability Building” and a transportation hub nearby, he believed that the area would undoubtedly shine with a remarkable new appearance.
