The sake tasting evening event organized by the CCCAA on June 8th was not only a fantastic opportunity to learn about Japanese sake and network with fellow alumni, but it also helped to strengthen the bond between my mentee Zedric and myself.
As we tasted the six different types of sake, we engaged in lively conversation with each other and the other alumni. We shared our thoughts on the different flavors and discussed the histories and cultures behind each sake. It was a shared experience that brought us closer together. Moreover, attending the event with my mentee allowed us to connect on a deeper level. We were able to learn more about each other's interests and background outside of our regular mentor-mentee meetings. This helped to foster a stronger mentor-mentee relationship, where my mentee felt more comfortable sharing their thoughts and asking for advice.
Overall, the sake tasting evening event was a wonderful experience for both of us. It not only provided an opportunity to learn and network but also helped to strengthen the bond between my mentee and myself. We look forward to attending future events together and continuing to build our relationship.
